Acres of Books -- closing forever

It's official Acres of Books in Long Beach is closing forever. No longer just expected, but confirmed from the horses mouth as it were, Acres will close their doors forever. The sales will start soon, and it won't be long after that. It's a real shame, and a major blow coming just a year after the loss of the Book Baron. There are no more large used bookstores in Southern California.

The kids section, organized and put in some more flip through boxes, added more picture books.

Packed the online orders for shipment.

Installed Zip drive & fonts.

Shelved some Graphic Novels & Manga.

Clean out the kitchen, put up more shelving, put away tools & supplies.

Signed up to sell on ABE, we'll see if sales go up, or just move over.

Went there this morning, picked up a couple 1st Edition Henry Miller Bios (not valuable, but cool) and an Easton Press Moby Dick. The place was packed with longtime customers saying goodbye. A sad day.
